Do these things set your product apart from the plethora of FPS options out there? You have the rights to BattleTech and Mechwarrior and you are trying to turn this game into a vanilla FPS. This is insanity. There is absolutely no way you are going to compete with the likes of Titanfall and Planetside if you keep pushing this game towards the center for the masses.
As shown by the founder's program there is a healthy population out there with relatively deep pockets willing to give you money to build a shooter game that reasonably resembles the boardgame rules. I am not suggesting MWO needs to follow the board game rules rigidly but this game went downhill fast when you started to implement things outside the scope of the tried, true, and tested original.
Reverse course and take this game back a bit to where it was during the closed beta with the current fixes. The closed beta minus the bugs is a game I am happy to pay for. MWO in its current state is beaten hands down by free to play games on Steam.
Don't even stress community warfare right now. Hell, I'd be happy with private matches. A hardcore mode that is stock mechs only with NO modules. Make this game about BattleTech (not the current notion of a shooter derived from BattleTech) and the money will roll in. We've already demonstrated that.
Thanks.
