Simply put, allow users to buy a mech without any of its internals.

Since we now pay super extra for all the fancy tech such as XL Engines ect. We should be allowed to purchase a mech without them.

ESPECIALLY when MC is concerned.

There really is no reason one should be forced to spend ANY ammount of real money on a basic component such as a Small Laser they're going to throw away immediately.

funny, I already stated this too but it's according to canon that mechs have some default armament depending on the chassis and people seem very touchy about canon here.

I dont really care about cannon, I want a fun deep, deep mech game. Whats the problem with buy an empty chassis? I would love to buy parts rather then having to save up to get a full mech. It may solve the grind on trial mechs even. I can buy a new part for my emtpy mech every few games, makes me feel like I'm progressing.

I agree with the ability to purchase an empty chassis (especially for MC), however, I also don't want to disrupt canon any more than absolutely necessary. Perhaps attempting to balance the two by allowing it, but making the empty chassis cost slightly more (appox 20%) than the base value after removing all it's components. It's a touchy subject, but one definitely worth some discussion.

call it salvage. buy a beat up mech repair as you earn CB.

Great idea. An empty or "salvaged" chassis would be good for a ton of reasons.

I like this idea, and am generally against the idea of paying for parts you're going to throw away anyways.
