This thread is for posting your on ideas for technology in the Battletech universe. Even though it's not recommended, pictures are welcome.

I was thinking, for support units, a special type of equipment called... The Spot-and-Fire (SAF) system that allows the unit to target specific areas of the enemy battlemech and to fire their missiles to rain down on that part of the enemy's body.

It would weigh about five tons, take up three critical slots and cost about 500,000 C-Bills.

The next would be a special type of block that connects to the outer armor, where five tubes conjoin together to fire smoke out of one side of the 'mech body; front, back, left, right or up. This can create a smoke screen that will force the enemy to switch to another means of seeking your out.

Would weigh about One ton per block, but only one block could be placed on one side at a single time. Take one critical slot. For one ton of ammo (Smoke powder), it would hold five rounds of smoke. Would cost about 10,000 per block.

Last would be... Why not? Radar Jammer. The closer you are to the machine, the more fuzzy their Radar would be as well as their lock on detection.
Pros: It weighs three tons. Is placed inside of the machine, so cannot be shot off like the SAF system or Smoke Block, doesn't need ammunition.

Cons: It takes up five critical slots, can only be mounted in the side torsos, it costs 1,000,000 C-Bills. It also needs to be in an energy hard point.

You may start now.
