Greetings all,

You may need to look for additional Dx drivers as the current game does not use the newest DX11 yet. It is still running on the older DX9c firmware, and the newer Dx11 does not have all the older files in it's inventory. (some things were dropped out)

[if you had the older d3d files and uninstalled a program that they were linked to, it may have removed them as well. Rather stupid system but you never know with Ms.]

You can check your files to see if you have all the Dx file from 9 to 11 installed.
Look here: in your Windows/System32 folder for the following : This folder is where the d3dx.dll's are held. They are in alphabetical order and will start withDX9 24 through to 43 . Then DX10 33 - 43 & finally DXD11 42 - 43. If you have all of these then you have all of the DX available.

Here is a table listing which files are in what Cab folders and there dates. "for missing files"

(note here, make sure these are the _x64 drivers if your in a 64bit system.)

Also don't forget to do a "windows update" and allow it to check for missing files/programs on your system.

- if you are not seeing certain graphics being drawn, then you do not have the driver to understand the instructions being given to display it. "missing d3d files"

This is a bug if something interrupts loading. Resetting the game will fix it.

It's also a very bad bug since it lets you lock & share locks through that missing terrain, even if you're not trying to. Nasty issue.

That post is from over a year ago. The last post on page one is a necro from a guy with a similar issue.

I think 9er nailed it, I believe the issue is DX related as he said.
