We ended up losing 0-8. He had 5 kills. He had 31% of his overall total. but had no armor was fully intact firing weapons and not overheating and b4 he killed me i put another 3 volleys of lrm into him and then he killed me and went to cap, rofl.. I have seen this many many many many many many many....times from fast movers lately. I guess i'm confused.
Good times-

For low ping players, yes. That lag shield is caused by issues with the game engine having trouble tracking something moving that fast, for the most part. There's also actual lag to take into account though. With over 350 ms ping...that's more than a third of a second. He doesn't need to be moving terribly fast to have shots that should hit miss with a ping like that. If he was running an XL, he'd be more than fast enough to be mostly unhittable. The very worst lagshields are, of course, a super fast mech like a Jenner with a massive ping. Those will literally teleport around as the server tries and fails to let you know exactly where he is.

High 338 ping can actually produce the same end effect. Due to the very long time it takes for the data to reach the server his hitbox is probably teleporting between his last location (registered on the server) and the new update which comes much later.

Whatever problems you had, I doubt it was him moving too fast for your client.

But sure its far easier to say "I lost because PGI did blabla and the lagshield blabla" then to say "Wow, this Pilot was good, I have to learn more"
No, Sirs, if it was like you said the reason you lost was NOT the lagshield, it was your fault!

Mine avgs. 40ms
This game my team that was actualyl playing with us was from 30 something to 122ish... most were around 100 i think. But it doesn't matter when you do things like watch your missiles hit on your hud. where they hit yada yada. So we know we were getting hits but sometimes the hits didn't seem to matter if that makes sense. Plus i was LRM/streak support so its not like my skill ahd anything to do with it right? lol @ these clowns.

few days ago I saw a legged (!!) Commando skipping 10-15 m at once and he prevented us to capture the base, none of us had streaks
this was before the hotfix so a LRM cat took care of him in the end
I'm so sorry I didn't FRAPSed it

The OT could absolutely happen with a ping 1/3s long.
