Only been playing 18 or so hours now, but have already noticed the following game breaking things:
a) AFK'ers need a votekick and no reward if kicked or similar. Theres nothing worse that having 2 or more mechs just sat there.
b.) suiciding and or leaving early: needs punishing. No credits or something similar
c.) Game randomly CTD mid game. Happened to me 4 times already. Very annoying.
I know its beta, and im sure its been said before, however, im saying it again to make sure that its seen!

A newbies thoughts on what needs fixing

A&B are addressed here: http://mwomercs.com/.../66088-farming/
C is an ongoing issue which they are working to resolve.

A) Something should be done, but a votekick is easy to abuse. I agree that it sucks though. :/
B.) Depends on the use of suiciding. Running out of bounds nets 0 rewards, but I can't remember if overheating does. It's hard to regulate people that are just running in and dieing though.
C) This one is gonna take some work. I've been seeing it happen a little less often this week, but I've also been online less this week. It's on their list of 'to-dos' I can tell you that much.

My thoughts as a noob, but I'm sure the Devs have talked about these already at some point in time (I'd hope). I know its just beta and things are coming.
General:
Most important I think:
**** Put in a sim! Let me configure mechs and load them in a single player environment with just dummy targets so I can test things out. ****
1. Get the explanations of weapons in ASAP (ranges, damage, etc).
2. Clean up the UI. It was confusing to find how to buy a mech. It was like it was designed by a programmer and not a UI designer.
3. Explain the differences between C-Bills, MC, GXP ASAP also.
4. Show how purchasing MC can get you a mech instantly. I don't know anyone who woudn't spend $15 on a game that would give 40+ hours of gameplay.
Gameplay:
1. Standing on a base area wo win should be improved. Do things like destroy/take over power plants, turrets, etc.
2. More maps. Design them for different types of mechs. For example, put a turret to be destroyed/taken over that only a mech with jump jets can get to. Destroying/taking over grants the team bonuses. Same with a small tunnel to get to something for small mechs.
3. Dropships. Don't need to say more there.
4. Better in-game communication. The person with the most pilot xp talents should be set leader. Give that person abilities to set waypoints and similar things. Have these pop up in the cockpit of other mechs when set.
I can't really comment on actual combat/gameplay, only been playing a couple weeks.

This subject has all ready been posted. My suggesstion for PGI is a report feature simular to what you have in WOW, or Warhammer Online. You give player name, zone, time, and what they were doing (AFK,Self Suicide). If enough players are reporting that individual for the same thing than it isnt a case of he said/he said, it is multiple witnesses to an infraction.
