I think it would be a great idea to include a chat on the statistics screen after the match, for the duration the screen is visible.

You could congratulate the players who performed well. Exchange friendly banter and answer some ad hoc questions.

You could also ask players you've just played with if they'd mind accepting a friendship invitation, so that you could play together frequently.

I have very mixed feelings on this. It has it's advantages, like you've stated, especially with the friend request part. The problem is, as everything is online, is the people who would just yell profanities about how much they destroyed their opponents or curse and scream at the winning team for their "baddy" allies failures. As much as I would love an after game chat, I think that the devs had the right idea disabling the chat after the match.

My experience is that most of the truly problematic players leave as soon as they die. There will be some QQing, but I would much rather be able to form a group with a good team, and go again.

I want an after match chat room, and the ability to place players on an in-game ignore list.

Having an in game ignore list may completely change my opinion on this ;)

I can't agree more with the OP. Any way to make finding "friends" easier sounds good.

I think a match-specific "lobby" would be a good idea here...maybe 1 min before the match, and 1 min after. This would allow adjustment of teams, shoutouts, mech variant selection, even tactics discussion.

It is funny how this "team" oriented game isn't very team friendly, lol

This. This is an idea I am all for.

Make it non compulsory to stay, so if people are just hurling abuse you can leave. But I've had several close games where I'd have liked to have a laugh about the last few tense minutes, or maybe congratulate some really effective player on either team.

i'd leave that ending screen up for 3 mins it has a exit button but if i could chat with plp make friends, continue with a good team, all of that would outwieght the negatives since there is not a mechlab chat this is the only chance to make any friends ingame other then one of the free voice servers.

This would be great, provided it comes after the matchmaking is fixed.

At present I think it would result in some negativity towards the premade teams.
