So I just rebought my favorite mech, hunchback 4sp, and even though streaks are pretty mandatory right now, I have it loaded with 2 srm 6 packs, as I enjoy the shotgun effect and skill leading the target, or the occasional in your face point blank18 damage. But after the first game I get out of, with only 2 tons of ammo mind you, they wanted 19000 c bills. This has to be a bad joke or someone screwed up and put an extra zero.

IF I repair my entire mech AND pay for ammo, its about 45000 c bills. My average since I dont have premium and am no longer a founder (by choice) is 65,000 per game. Thats without an xl engine, and only double heat sinks as any higher than base tech.

Then I hear that next patch they are reducing the free ammo down to 25 precent. Now pgi can do what it wants, its their game. But I can tell you I am not playing this game for 5000 credits when the game is over as progress. Ill either switch to all lasers, or just go with 25 precent ammo. If it makes my team suffer and we lose more often because non premiums arent repairing/rearming their mechs to standard and people start quitting from losing all the time thats on them.

Frankly games should have been run where you get free rearm and repair for your mechs from the contractor of your mission, and wins and loses were more like 60k per win and 25k per loss. People might actually try and win more that way too. As is, you have people buying 3 commandos, stripping them down till there about 1k to repair after death, and just being hinderences to the team.

Remove ammo cost, or rethink how you charge people for repairs. Even founders in the future arent going to be spending cash on premium time, mostly garage slots and MABYE some custom skins/custom mechs. And even with 90 mil in the bank, cutting into your cash as much as it will is going to be noticeable.

Really? Were complaining about 16,000 c-bill re-arm costs now?

*sigh*

Aren't the ammo prices 1:1 identical to the lore?

You know, like the mechs?

Never bothered to check.

So I'm not making many c-bills in a game I play completely for free.

Do you really think a mercenary in a multi million cbill mech, who goes out and risks his life on the battlefield for pay, is going to take a job whos total pay for winning is 125k c bills, and it ends up costing him 60k to repair and rearm it?

These guys are paid far more than we get per drop. The prices last patch were far more fair compensation. I understand making money from the community, but these bills are unsustainable.

You are a Lone Wolf, you don't have loyalty to a house, or Merc Corp, you are paying for this outta your pocket and yours alone. Ammo is expensive which is why Mercs went with as littel ammo dependance as possible. Welcome to the Big Leagues. We used to pay for full rearm /reload until the Depression of Sept '12!

Who said I play for free. Mabye I bought garages, or the premium mech, or plan on buying camos. Just because I dont have a founder tag anymore due to it being poor value as the current game stands (and I dont think the game is going to make it to clans frankly) dosent mean I havent kicked in.

are you winning or losing? on most losses if I don't end up killing a couple guys I usually break even or may lose some cbills in my atlas. but on wins I'm getting a good 200k a game so then that makes up for it pretty quickly.

No, he wouldn't. He'd think about the re-arm costs and not put things on his mech that cost him that much money.

If you're feeling cheap uncheck "automatically resupply mechs" and never buy ammo, you always drop with 75% ammo for free IIRC.

Somehow I think your actual bill looks more like:

fix internals:check
fix armor: blank
fix items: blank
refil ammo: blank

So if your doing the same thing, how are you going to complain you have a much bigger repair cost, when you dont pay it either.

Thats the problem, they are nerfing it to 25 precent refill. Putting missile weapons out of the reach of average players.

Anything for free is a buff. You should have to pay the full cost.

27,000 a ton for table top SRM ammo.

If you took a crit to one of your double heat sinks that might be driving up the price.

If you want to comparison. I running a Jenner with endo, FF, XL, streak ammo. My highest bill been 83,500. Adding case to my ammo cuts down on the repair costs because ammo blows are contaned in one spot.

Thanks.

Well mabye we should have to pay for everything then, no opting out of it. Mabye all the mechs should just be freepaired to 25 precent, and the team can carry you unless you pay 45k per game for a cheap mech.

Heck mabye we should price all the new players on the fence about buying MC out of anything but commandos, and when they complain we can tell them freeplay scum can find the door.

Sorry freeplayer, real mechs, options and fun are for premium players only. But please stick around as they need someone to trounce over in their premade groups. I see why norris feels sorry for you if you are mandated to respond like this to a real concern.

So streaks should cost you 350k per match? That's stupid.
