The only Wang abuse I've run into is people assuming their pilots suck. But that can be said about anyone running off and suiciding.

Seriously, why rag on someone spending cash for a YLW?Not like it is in any way P2W...


Also, the fact that people blow off their arm and then "forget" about them is the exact reason why they are good zombies?

Odd, the wang is my main mech, I rarely get called a p2w and griefing is something that I haven't noticed either(I get the occasional stray shot from an ally due to my weaving, but other than that and the dumbass with an awesome alphaing my left arm to red armor nothing).

Frankly I'm happy using my gimp mech to get money and shoot stuff, it is a direct fire only design, so no shotgun missiles or long range homing, only forward fire and a bit of up/down aiming. Slap some Endo and DHS on it and drop it down to a standard 200 engine and you have a good platform that moves relatively fast to keep up and has enough firepower to knock a dent in anything. after the ac/10 buff supposedly on Tuesday, I may use that and upgrade my other stuff to match.

I used to think people paying for a free game were suckers. Then I realized I'm playing on their dime and felt guilty. Then I realized I do still perform a service as a free player: I add necessary bulk to the field (and I'm not an ***** so it's helpful too). This is one of the few f2p games I have thrown money at and I probably won't be able to spend more than the founders for it.

So some people think they're suckers, some people think they're trying to buy an advantage and thus suck, and some people just can't look at something different without trying to make it feel bad.

I bought a YLW the day open beta started. It's my principal mech.

In over 400 games, I have never been griefed. I have had people ask me questions about what makes it special or how to get one but no griefing.

Neither have I seen anyone else in a YLW get griefed in games where I've been piloting one of my other Centurions.

Endo, DHS, Standard 200, AC/10, 2 MPLs, AMS, max armour. Try it. You'll love it.

Yeah I pilot a Wang a lot as well (loooove Centurions), but no one has ever ever griefed me about it. Why would they? It's not that special of a Mech in any way really.

yes, that's a long tom, yes, its one of few mechs that actually mounts one. yes, it has no variants. yes, using these would be 'pay to win'.

HOWEVER.

A. the AH was the model for the YLW
B. it was replaced with the much fancier CN9-D
C. the CN9-D, A, and AL are all much better than the YLW other than the bonus Cbills.
D. bonus Cbills =/= pay to win
