I've been reading the CoC, but it doesn't go into stuff like suicide farming, giving away teammates position to the enemy, teamkilling, stuff like that...
Where can I find definitive info on what is acceptable and what is a bannable offense?

un-/acceptable behaviour ingame?

*slaps Nufsed hand for not being helpful*
Bad! Bad Nufsed! Go sit in the corner!
Seriously though, depending on what happens, if it's team killing or suiciding farming you can mark down a name and send it in as a support ticket to report that person for unfair team behavior.
As for if someone who is on your team gives out information of where your team is headed, i.e, your team heads to save run a cave route in the Forest Map and your team mate hangs behind and says "My TEAM IS HEADED FOR THE CAVE! SHOOT THEM and SPARE ME!", that's just wrong on so many levels. That should also be reportable for unfair team behavior and should be punishable with a temporary ban and repeated attempts could cause a permanent banning. However...nothing like that has EVER been discussed as far as I have seen in and a RULE should be put in for this.
HOWEVER....
If you have a teammate that hangs back and does nothing, and is still alive and moving and doesn't lift a finger to help, so he can hide or power down, or he goes in and then starts firing afterwards...that's a douche move. He is what we call a "Scumbag Steve" and I see NOTHING wrong with giving away his location to the enemy team if he's powered down hiding or he's trying to run around and cap an enemy base by himself so he can be a hero while you all died and he didn't. In that case, I see nothing wrong with ratting on a 'scumbag steve'.

FARMING <- A small insight into how PGI views Farming...
As to anything else... if you encounter a player that you feel is griefing or conducting themselves in an inappropriate manner in game (or on the forums) submit a ticket to support@mwomercs.com and leave it at that...
Support will investigate and take action if warranted.

I understood everything except what i quoted above. To preface this, i am not a mechwarrior expert so i don't know the etiquette. I have done this a few times in my light trial mech and i thought it was always pretty useful from what i could see. Even more so if it was coordinated.
Whenever i would flank and head to their base one of two things would happen.
1 We would win the game through being at the base.
2 Within 30-40 seconds some enemy light and medium mechs would be visible heading towards my location.
The reason i thought this was good was that it seemed like good tactics. I was using my 'pawn' to draw multiple enemy pieces away from the battle, meaning my team mates benefit from being harassed by less light mechs up close, and their numerical odds in the main battle get better.
Additionally. Any mechs that did come for me would generally have to by definition show their back to my heavily armed team mates , who could crush a lot of light/ medium mechs with a few vollies of LRM's into their backs as they responded to the base distress signal. When a bunch of mechs would appear i would attempt to make good my getaway so i could draw them back to the base multiple times. In fact it is often intentionally putting yourself in a 1 vs 2 fight which makes you more likely to get killed not less.
I thought what i was doing was strategic but i guess it would be scumbag steve in the games etiquette. Kind of glad i read the topic to find this out. HAHA.
