A couple of times now I have noticed that I will just randomly blow up for no reason and get marked as having killed myself.
Now, before you say "Duh, quit overriding your emergency shutdown", that's not what I mean. I am referring to when it happens when you are nowhere near overheating.
For example, in my last match, I was piloting a Hunchback 4G (the one with the AC-20). I modified it a bit with all the ammo in the left torso with CASE. I am using the standard engine that came with it (not XL). I had 45% total heat and blew up. FORTY-FIVE. I wasn't even fighting anyone at that moment.
How can it be that, at 45% heat, in a mech using a standard engine with all the ammo in a side torso with CASE, I would randomly just explode?

Eme, some maps have a glitch where it wont say your out of bounds. If you break that threshold you wont get the "Out of bounds" countdown timer. This MAY be your problem.

This is why I would love to see Complete Mission Recap;BattleROM or ACMI. You could then analyze your drops, from every shot you made, to every hit you took.
someday.

Yeah, even without walking out of the normal map boundaries, there are some places where you step into the vertical out of bounds. An example is the trench in Frozen City. It has at least one spot like that where you dip too low and hit the vertical out of bounds.

Why you making stuff up? Vertical limits. Crazy talk.

Hmmm.... Well, yes, I guess that could have definitely been it. I hadn't thought of that.
If only I had a robot woman telling me when I was in peril of such things.

Indeed!
What's worse is when the stupid "You're out of bounds" giant flashing message is hidden behind the giant "Your base is under attack" flashing message or "Critical damage" flashing message. Maybe we could have those be just a little smaller and not be placed in the same exact location on the screen so they obstruct each other. </rant>

Or, you could just stay-the-fk-away from the border. You can't accidentally cross it if you more than 200m away from it.

ive seen this happen a few times when I snipe someone in the back with my guass.. they are completely cool (in heat vision) usually sitting still waiting for a shot.. I hit a torso, it go wammo, ammo pours out, and I see on the screen --- mechwarrior X killed by mechwarrior X ---
and of course no credit for the kill..
Could this be a case bug? is it possible to crit the CASE mechanism AND the ammo???
