Huge edit:

Ive spoken with a dev, they have a nice system for this.

Aka, dont shoot back and let it ride. The deeds are tracked well.

Thanks fellas.

The only thing that could work is a self-defense period after being shot by a friendly, anything else have heavy cons
One thing that I would like to be checked is the teamkill by crashing, in a match I was going to help in a 2vs3 fight and there was a commando running around, I was going forward, saw the team commando running to where I was and started to break (I was on a heavy and you can't make a heavy stop very quickly) the thing is the commando collided with my mech and was destroyed and I got a teamkill penalty just because I couldn't break fast enough.

I'm not in favor of your proposal. On occasion, there is an accidental shot on a friendly mech. There's NO way to program the game to know the difference between and accident and what your describing.

However, what could be done fairly easily is implement:

We get points for the damage we do to enemy Mechs.....why not give an equal number of deductions to your points for damage done to a friendly Mech. I know the occasional person who truly accidentally shoots an friendly mech will have to share that but thats life.

In addition, if you kill a friendly mech, you automatically get NOTHING for that match plus you incur a 15 minute timer before you can queue up for another match. Again, the occasional accidental friendly kill will have to suffer but it would make people "think" more.

It's hard to avoid FF, especially when some morons decide to group hug the enemy packing AC20's. You can either risk shooting your own or wait for the enemy to kill either you or your friends, or both.

Ignoring FF, whether intentional or not, is a good way to train self control :)

No i agree, lets punish team attackers. That way when someone lases you by accident or something which triggers your kill response and you ****-tank it up by coring the mech, you lose more points than they do. Then maybe people like you will stop being such a drain on the community and fall into line like everyone else has.
