So I was just told that Russ said on the NGNG podcasts minutes ago that third person was going to be introduced into the game. True? Not True? If so what kind of restrictions are going to be implemented in its use if any? Why the sudden change of heart when it was one of the things you guys seemed to have decided from the start and there would be no changing it?

This isn't really a discussion thread, the topic has been discussed into the ground. I was just looking for info from anyone else who was listening live to the NGNG podcast when Russ was talking about it and/or someone from PGI chiming in on the subject about the rumored change in stance.

Last I heard it was a POSSIBLE add on when they decide to do the PVE parts of teh game which are very likely YEARS away(I hope)... Because any work on that means less work on the real game

I think Russ said it was a "possiblity" which is pretty vague and god only knows when.

They are adding Remote Camera Drones or something, basically. A module or piece of equipment, maybe a commander only thing.
It really isn't "third person view."
Or that is my understanding. And what I'm hoping for.

But not a "standard" 3rd person view.
