Hello,

This is my letter of complaint to PGI.

Me and my "Red-Neck Clan" buddies were having great fun in 8 v 8 PUG games developing our elite tactics against new players. We deployed 6 LRM boats and 2 scout spotters every game and tactically outplayed our worthy PUG opponents. The new tactic we developed over many weeks of closed beta was to scout the enemy and then fire on them with the combined firepower of the 6 LRM boats from the back of the map.

This ingenious tactic was dreamt up by one of our clan mates - Randy, and we honed it to perfection. Another clan member - Chip then suggested we ALL TARGET the same PUG at the same time to hasten the rate of PUG kills as focus firing is a quicker way to kill mechs - see tactical diagram for full explanation of this technique: http://1.bp.blogspot...onvert-fuel.gif

We also use VOIP in which we use code language like Echo, Bravo, Alpha, to designate which enemy to focus fire our LRMs on. This is complicated and requires the team to understand words, but after a few days we had it nailed.

I realize releasing this information into the public domain means people will be able to copy our tactics and techniques and perhaps even the very best players in the community may be competent enough to implement it themselves successfully but we have to speak out to alert PGI that they are totally ruining this game for Randy and Chip and the rest of the "RedNecks"...

No we have to play with the same PUGs we were owning before. This is simply unacceptable and we've paid nearly $800 on this game and demand the 8 man teams be reinstated or we receive refunds. If neither of these things happen we will leave and go play other tactical shooter games like "Call of Duty"...

Don't get me wrong, I like PUGs. They have endearing qualities like standing still a lot, and they say "plan?" at the start of every game and they don't know the keys and can't fire all their weapons groups, but as team mates they suck. Our average K/D ratios were 53 to 1 in 8 man drops but now they have fallen to ~10 to 1... WTF!!! QQQQQ!!!1hundred111

troll maybe? if this person is serious, this person is the reason puggers hate premades. i used to run groups all the time, never did we run all lrm boats. although now its very attractive. its much eaiser to focus fire using random puggers using lrm's.

Is the OP serious? His clan liked stomping pugs? That's probably the most sure-fire way to drive the developer to bankruptcy and for us to lose this "diamond in the rough" game.

These topics need to just be locked or removed from the forums. The 8 man drops will be implemented again but to keep from alienating the new player base we need 4 man groups. It prevents exactly what this poster wants which is the ****** of pugs. This game needs new players and huge player base to sustain long term. To address this pro tactic used by said poster, if this game does not balance in-balances no one is going to want to play this game. Just because LRM’s in large numbers are over powered does not mean you have developed some game changing tactic. The same style of overpowering game play can be done with drops of gausscats. Balance = a better game with a longer life span.

The changes they have made are completely acceptable and the idea that posting a useless thread, demanding a refund and threating to leave is unacceptable.

This post basically is, hey bro’s look how cool we are, look at the cool things we do, we used to **** everyone, now we can’t… listen to the QQ...
