I'm sorry for the dumb question. I'm a new player. I've been using the free/trial mechs for a few days. I would like to buy and/or configure a mech, but I don't see any tab or way to buy a mech, or change the armament on my own. What am I missing?

Click on an empty mech bay slot and select the "Create New Mech' Tab that appears above the bar.

[Ascendent]

Bottom lefthand corner of the mechlab has 2 titles, "Trial Mechs" and "Owned Mechs". Click on "Owned Mechs". Then as above poster mentioned you should see 4 empty mechbays at the bottom center of the screen. Click on any fo them and select "Create new mech".
