Heh ... neither. It's just a character name I came up with a long time ago and have used in various RPGs (and now MMORPGs). The nice part is that it's fairly unique so when signing up for a game / creating a character I generally never have a problem with someone else using it.

In reality I'm just your average run of the mill American mutt from turn of the century immigrant families; a bunch of Irish and a little bit of a couple other things thrown in.
