I have two simple problems and the search function didn't come up with much of anything so here goes.

1. Whenever I make changes in the options menu, it works for that play session. But whenever I close/reboot the game, those settings are lost and i have to imput them again.

2. Is there a way i can disable the bloom? I'm having framerate problems and disabling bloom always makes games run smoothly for me. (ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250)

Are you running the game with administrator rights? You should be for it to work properly.

To disable bloom
in user.cfg add (I think this is what you are looking for)

r_glow = 0


to get a user.cfg that will help speed up your system try searching the forums for "user.cfg" there are several ones posted already.
