Why so long to make new maps?

Yeah seriously. I can make a map solo in a week or two, depending on how much modeling, texturing and such needs to be done. Obviously one with a bunch of props like the buildings, cars, bridges and such in river city takes longer than something like caustic. So does one with working elevators and stuff like that all over the place. Granted I haven't done one in years and I'm used to the Unreal engine, but how different can it be? They need to just give us player owned servers and mod support so we can do it for them.

@mekabuser : Yeah mf you got it , me too i miss these amazing mwll maps !! I am so bored of the MWO maps !!! #

@ Devs: Give us some marshes!! Take a look at mwll and give us stuff like that !!

I replied in the other thread about this but yes more new maps please, new mechs are no good if theres not many maps to play them on.

we do have alrdy a night/day version of every map ?

Go play another game is always a great answer and most peaple probaly do. Maybe was why in another thread they where saying the community is to small to implement that. I like the game is why i bother.

This is the most irritating thing for me. We need NEW maps, not rehashed existing maps passed off as being "new". We're not stupid, PGI. Seriously, you can't use the excuse "We're working on other things" because the people working on those things should not be the same people that make maps. Hire some people, if that's the issue. You want to keep players? Give us some new maps so we don't get bored and leave. I'm on the verge of it now because I'm so sick of playing the same old maps again and again like I've been doing for months now. The new alternate versions do not impress me. Sure, some of them are nice, but they're still the same old maps. You want player retention? Make more maps. People will get bored with the 4 maps you have now and stop playing.

Here's an idea: make the maps larger (by 50%+) and largely square in shape. This way you can have EvsW spawns, and NvsS spawns.
Blammo! One map can now play as 4. Take the time to ensure that terrain is viable both ways, and release the hounds.

Its not beta, first impressions count in these things. The new player reward system said something about now to invite all your friends. If it realy is beta i think they need to tone it down with the adverts and things untill they have more content.

They should make a license agreement and throw it at the community, I bet there are a STACK of people that have the skill to churn out maps

But there are a LOT of lawyers somewhere, and I don't see that happening.

because im fussy with games and the ones i like seem to fail, swtor i realy liked and stayed longer than most till there was about 10 peaple on the server at one time. Peaple where saying merge servers well befour that, did they listen. Then they did it about 2 months later.
