Played a lot of PUGs in my trial mechs last couple of days still not convinced to spend a dime of US Dollars. The game-play is pretty much what it was when I left, rock-em sock-em robots, except no tripping (Booo hissss). Meh... no more or less disappointed than I was.. stability is better, pretty game, little substance. Still no hard fast rules, just a lot of oatmeal-based inconstant guidelines..Hey, its beta, she was asking for it!
But I have found a meta game within the game... and I think you trial Puggers might like it.
You know, the answer is easy... tired of getting trial-mech-ihilated? want a little payback? Find those expensive mechs on the opposite team and start to primary them. All of them, and only them... don't attack other rookie trial mechs, go after the big money mechs. Do you get more per kill or anything?, well no. But you get the satisfaction of knowing that you don't have repair cost, and that they do, and repairs SUCK!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!YOU HAVE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO LOSE, and the Founders EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Join brother trials rookies and sisters puggers, be heard. Unite and strike out at the Dev's "special little creatures", and their special founders mechs. If we must start with nothing, then we shall use it, like an entropic deathsword and drag them to us, to our nothing, indebted to start, broken, scratching for sustenance.
It is not that we are less than the "founders" and must trudge along, realize that they are the few, and we the disowned, trial pugs, are the legion. Hunt them, make them weep for their armor repairs and components replacements.
Let no rookie trial mech fire again on rookie trial mech, until every purchased mech is destroyed each match and its pilot brought to financial ruin!
Viv la resistance!
it was fun to write
