Wow I leave for while and the whole game goes to hell. So I have read a lot of hate entries here on the forums. The haves, have not's, rage-flames and lengthy logical "explanidisertationaries" on a~what shoulda and oughta be IMHO, whomsoever's HO that might be at that time.

Played a lot of PUGs in my trial mechs last couple of days still not convinced to spend a dime of US Dollars. The game-play is pretty much what it was when I left, rock-em sock-em robots, except no tripping (Booo hissss). Meh... no more or less disappointed than I was.. stability is better, pretty game, little substance. Still no hard fast rules, just a lot of oatmeal-based inconstant guidelines..Hey, its beta, she was asking for it!

But I have found a meta game within the game... and I think you trial Puggers might like it.

You know, the answer is easy... tired of getting trial-mech-ihilated? want a little payback? Find those expensive mechs on the opposite team and start to primary them. All of them, and only them... don't attack other rookie trial mechs, go after the big money mechs. Do you get more per kill or anything?, well no. But you get the satisfaction of knowing that you don't have repair cost, and that they do, and repairs SUCK!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!YOU HAVE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO LOSE, and the Founders EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Join brother trials rookies and sisters puggers, be heard. Unite and strike out at the Dev's "special little creatures", and their special founders mechs. If we must start with nothing, then we shall use it, like an entropic deathsword and drag them to us, to our nothing, indebted to start, broken, scratching for sustenance.

It is not that we are less than the "founders" and must trudge along, realize that they are the few, and we the disowned, trial pugs, are the legion. Hunt them, make them weep for their armor repairs and components replacements.

Let no rookie trial mech fire again on rookie trial mech, until every purchased mech is destroyed each match and its pilot brought to financial ruin!

Viv la resistance!

it was fun to write :( hope you got a laugh! :Dmissed ya all

Got some bad news for ya.I still turn a profit on a loss even when my mech goes KABLOOWY.

Also Founders are the players who invested in this game (5 million US dallors worth combined) so everyone else has the option to play for free.I put my money down (120 bucks worth) because I wanted to see another Mechwarrior game.Founders PUG with big exspencive founder's mechs so I guess our willingness to pay cash money is a benifit to free players since they have our founder's mechs on thier teams.

It's a tough ride right now.I really get it.

Founders are the most experienced players currently. Most founders have weeks or months of playtime from closed beta.

Founders Have those founder mechs to trick out and have higher/faster earnings to get the good stuff faster.

But soon more free players will have custom mechs.More and more new players will get experienced. It will begin to level out to a more even playing field.

Okay, fry.

And no, attacking the people that have helped fund this game so far is stupid.

Best way to get back at the Founder's? Stop playing.

If enough players stop playing, the game will die.

It's already happening.

I will soon call a non-trialmech my own and i am just curious, what are the most expensive parts on a mech to repair?
If I am dead, does it always cost the same or is there a way to die efficiently?

The less you're damaged the cheaper your repairs, pretty simple really. Not a lot of choice on how the enemy kills you off though. If you're last man standing and you're shot to pieces, it's probably time to go find a safe place to powerdown, that can save you some RNR though it's not always an option. I tend to find I only get really bad bills on seriously hard fighting, while a clean coring leaves more of your mech for enemy salvage as well as saving your bills from even more damage.

Expensive kit will cost more to repair, like the more dangerous weapons, XL engines over your standards, and the weight-saving upgrades. A tricked out light mech with lots of upgrades can cost a lot more to bring back online than a bigger, more stock ride. Also don't forget ammo. SO many people forget that running ammo-heavy mechs can cost in RNR even when you win.

Now I know who to blame for every enemy blowing off my side torsos in my hunchback-SP with the PCgamer skin!
Seriously though, whenever I see someone who's obviously tricked themselves out with XL, Endo, DHS and everything else I take immense satisfaction in ramping up their repair bill in my Standard engine 75% ammo cheap-o build. Bwahahahahahaha.
