I played about ten games last night, all solo, and I noticed that in most games, the majority of the players were Founders. It was toward the end of my session when the thought occurred to me, but if most of the people playing are Founders at this point that is a bad sign.

Founders are a finite group because the packs are no longer available. Couple that with the fact that some people may choose NOT to display their Founder icon, and that means that the majority of the players are the same people that were around for Closed Beta.

I'm going to track my games over this coming weekend and post the % of players that reveal Founder icons. (Players that aren't me. I skew the data since I am a constant.)

You can't possibly be insinuating that new players wouldn't want to stay around to help the founders farm would you?

Hes just meaning there aren't that many new players.

Its not really surprising when you think that anyone who had a previous intrest in the game probably already shelled out the $20 for the min founders pack. Hopefully we'll see some surges of new recruits soon, probably the next time WoT or EvE **** up a patch

Yeah, I've noticed this too. Coupled with the fact that the game no longer shows us how many people online really starts another of those elaborate constructions in my mind where I assume PGI is hiding things from me.

Like how I never really believed they had 60,000+ founders, and only 2500 people on at any one time.

As I said, I dont think I have more than 10 matches without meeting some of the same ppl so I guess there are no more than 4000 or so in total.
I think that is the main reason why they decided to label the game as Open beta to see if they can really attract more ppl cause they are out of cash and no more investors...
