The Tetatae are an integral part of Battletech and many players as well as myself would like the option to play as one during launch. Please show your support for diverse playstyles and help us convince the devs to implement this option. Racism is not allowed in this thread.

YEAH WHY NOT MAN? THEY WERE QUIETLY IGNORED OR OPENLY DECANONIZED EVERYWHERE ELSE, WHY NOT HAVE EM HERE! MAYBE THEY COULD HAVE A RACIAL ABILITY TO BOOST HEATSINK EFFICIENCY!

Given that the condition of the pilot has no impact on gameplay, who cares?

You could 'play' as a giant bird or a potato or whatever.

Of course, if the devs have to spend any time on this idea, I'll set you on fire for delaying my game.

Everytime I freelook I encounter human legs, not the talons that tread the fertile plains and dense jungles of Kaetetôã. This is unsettling at best and an injustice at worst.

According to canon, no one ever came back from that intergalactic roadtrip to Kaetetôã.

The bird people weren't decanonized?

I WAS MISLED BY ANTI-FOWL RACISM!

I, for one, welcome our new sentient bird overlords.

The Tetatae were able to repair an old Kurita jumpship and invaded Combine space, adding the newly captured worlds to the strength of the Confederation.

Do standard Neurohelmets work on bird brains?

Judging by combat results they work even better. Take that, neurotypicals.

Already implemented. Notice how cockpit rock never moves your head but the mechs frame is jostling wildly? How are you keeping your head so still?

Video Answer:
Vestibulo-ocular reflex

This action in game suggests the devs started with a Tetatae's abilities but for some reason only a man skin is available in game.

Yes, I demand that PGI make the Tetatae top priority. The game is virtually unplayable without additional races.

Quote

BattleTech Line Developer Herbert A. Beas has confirmed its {novel Far Country's} canonicity, with the caveat that the authors and developers deliberately ignore the Tetatae and shall not revisit them. The impact on the BattleTech universe is minor, given that the Tetatae only (theoretically) exist in a place that has no connections to the known universe whatsoever.

Sorry, PGI's pretty much got its hands tied; you want different, go take your 'petition' to Catalyst and get then to reverse what they've set in stone.

...if you manage to pull that off, I might have a soupcon more respect for you goons.

You know what caveat means right? It means that the key point of that sentence is that Tetatae are canon. You've just been proven racist by the racist prover.

Proceeds of our sales go directly to the noble Tetatae.
