And for future reference please post something more than a single word post. If I want to read thoughtless posts all day then I will give you a call.

It's already been discussed ad nauseum in closed beta, didn't want to bore people with more of the same old arguments.

Since the idea to limit groups to four players wasn't actually a widely-mentioned solution, I can only think they're doing this not solely based on player feedback, but based on their own data as well.

Again, I'll re-iterate my thoughts from when this was initially announced:

It's going to be good for pre-mades, who will actually have a good chance to fight other pre-mades for the first time.

It will be good for PUGs because they'll be able to see the benefits of team play, from the other side of the gauss rifle, so to speak.

It will be good for merc companies, as they'll be able to recruit promising pilots that they see in random drops.

The only people this initial change *won't* be good for is people who are reliant on seven other guys to make up for how bad they are at the game.

Phase 1 will be good for none of those, and all of those are already possible.

You think it might be because we want to choose to play with people we like and not random cro magnons?

well actually, as long as i drop with DHB i don´t really care how huge the groupsize is, we can adapt to it ...
but now the huge BUT!

i play with some RL friends too, from time to time, a few hours a week, who don´t want to join a huge playerunit... (not at the moment at least^^)

right now, we are 4... fine, you might say, no problem... BUT what about when another friend likes to try it and join us for a few matches?

and btw, it´s not 1 week until phase 2, the last number i read was "about 3 weeks, not much longer"... i guess it´s at least a month ;)

Sigh.. heathens.

A mechanized infantry platoon has currently.. 4 Bradley's.
A Tank Platoon has currently.. 4 Abrams.
A motorized assault platoons has... 4 UAH's.. (and a PSG rig)

Add in a commander's and executive officer rig you get 14 vehicles for a company.

You think people just made this stuff up?

While an Armored Cavalry Plt has 6 Brads :D

4 men will be enough for a good old roflstomp while that restriction lasts so I don't really care.
Yeah, the whiners might not get destroyed so badly anymore but hey they've still got no friends so joke's on them. :D

The issue I have with four man teams is it is a Fail to push groups that work as teams into smaller groups due to they work as teams and this is Unfair. Well People who have better computers is not fair too. Kids with fast reflexes vs 60 year old players Unfair. Smart vs Not so Smart Unfair. LIFE IS UNFAIR.

TO move into a T ball version of game play is just crazy and make this game suck.

You might as well remove all kills. Just make the Mech over heat and shut down when hit with " paint balls " or what ever. You Don't have to pay for Repair bills, Every one gets the same XP and Cbills win or lose and you have made this game " fair :

I know you can get some good 4 man teams. BUT, when you on the Comstar Teamspeak http://mwomercs.com/...mspeak-servers/ and pick up 3 players. One gets a black screen or FPS bug 45% of the time, One thinks he is a scout, and One spends 50% of their time in the Mech lab after each battle, Then you get into a fight and your pugs are MIA 1, Black screen 1, 2 rush out and Die, 1 member of your team is playing a scout and dies in the 1st 2 mins ... And you get this over and over and over... Kill death Ratio is just a way of saying your day sucks.
This game sucks, and it not due to bugs, but lack of getting friends into a group to play that are not 50% clueless.

Say no to mediocrity. :( Say yes to community+Fun=Success. ;)

MechWarriors operate in four-man Lances.
Consider it training for Community Warfare and 12vs12 battles.

Can you just imagine the carnage of a 12-man premade vs a PUG?
