Yes, welcome to what every other player has to know. All those skills everyone has to know and have.

Weapon skills are totally different - learning to fire compensating for your lag, lead firing and knowing where to target on the mech. Red torso or red legs? Which has more armor? Headshot possible? Hmm if I knock out his arm that takes out his gauss.. or CT if I judge his armor is low enough, wait he's moving up a hill.. i have to adjust my AIM.

LRMs? Lock, fire.
No need to do any of the above. At all.

Point and click. Same as a missile boat.

I believe it makes it more difficult to get a lock. It also negates tag and narc beacons, I believe.

LRMs are fine.

If you die by LRM just uninstall game and forget about playing MWO.

Lol.. ok.

If it makes you feel more skilled than someone that's actually learned how to shoot instead of sitting back spamming locked on missiles that you can't even specify which location of the mech to shoot off, then who am I to shoot you down (pun intended).
You just keep telling yourself that.

But I will admit that LRM boats are effective (just like rl archers, ranged weapons) and I'll protect my LRM boat if a light comes on him - cos I know he'll be better at taking out that Atlas from a distance.

They're assets to the battlefield, no doubt about that but call it for what it is - you don't have to lead, compensate for lag or even target what location you want your LRM's to hit. You just.. wait for the lock and fire.

I'm deadly in any mech. The reason I play missile boats is because my connection is not good enough for direct fire weapons most of the time. You've posted five times on this thread and every one was you boasting about your skill and that I, or anyone who pilots missile boats have none. I'd tell you to swallow your ego, but I'm afraid you might choke on it.

I've not once boasted about my skill. Not once in this thread.

I've just stated what every other player other than an LRM boat has to deal with.
Latency is a disadvantage that every player has to overcome, not just you. Knights had to compensate for their heavy armor.

I'm not saying that all LRM players have no skill, there's no doubt that LRM boaters player other mechs from time to time as well. I'm calling the LRM weapon itself for what it is - an easy, wait for the lock and fire weapon hence no skill needed for using it.

Troll. The reason I say that, is because this thread was about whether LRMs are OP, and you brought up the topic about it being a no skill weapon. I and others disagree with you. Anyone can pilot a missile boat, but not everyone can do it well. That means it takes skill to use effectively.

Your arguments are none so you've descended to the lowest point. Yeah I can see there really is no point in talking with you.

You don't bother to respond in a civil manner and you've just shown how weak your arguments really are if that's the best you can come up.

Hey, no skin off my back really. Like I said - whatever floats your boat in making you enjoy your game.

I play with a guy that only uses 2 LRM 15s on a cat, he averages about 800 damage per game. It's not about how many LRMs you have, it's about how you use them and coordinate with your team on the appropriate targets. Too many times I see PUG teams wasting LRMs on jenners moving at 140 KPH.

Just because LRMs are autoaim on a lock doesn't mean it takes no skill to use them. Positioning and how you use them is very important.

So last night I was with a group of heavies heading around a hill. Jenner came out, I got a lock. I torso turned to try and get a guass shot off (K2 with guass/AC5). My AMS went wild a second later, and about 12 vollies of LRMs hit and killed me.

I should uninstall? What did I do wrong?
