It looks as though this community is getting more restless as the days of beta pass by. I have seen countless threads of either outright slander or childish whining. Remember, we as MechWarrior's should live up to a higher standard and give the developers our full support for a successful beta!

Shouldn't the devs be the ones who give us their support, and treat us with respect, instead of hiding their updates, and trying really, really, really hard to keep the weapon damages and other essential things away from us?

When the developers apparently have no clue what they're doing anymore [see the boneheaded 1.4 DHS idea that is worse than their current bugged implementation]. we're going to complain, take off your enhanced golden goggles and free your mind.

Keep in mind there is a difference between being an objective consumer with a grievance and a fanboy.

Just requoting this. No such thing as a mechwarrior "code."

You know why we seem to be complaining and whining ?

Because we want this game to be great and some of us get frustrated when it's heading in the wrong direction.

Whining does nothing. Complaining does nothing. Offering constructive criticism, with suggestions for improvement is how you make the game better.

Full support is a two-way street. If they try and take us for idiots by re-packaging the same broken thing and calling it fixed (expecting us to be too stupid to recognize it), then they deserve what they get.

I offered them a blade and a bowl...

Maybe let them patch it into the game before passing judgement? And I don't see how 1.4 is worse than 1.0... If my math is right, 1.4 is actually better than 1.0!

I joined closed beta late. What have they tried to pass off as fixed?

No ******* ****.

Problem is, all DHS will be 1.4, right now all non-engine HSes are 2.0, making them all 1.4 will mean a net LOSS IN HEAT DISSIPATION OVER THE CURRENT BUGGED DHSES YOU ******* *****.

You're not taking into account the shift from 1 to 1.4 is for engine heatsinks which were bugged and the shift from 2 to 1.4 for DHS creates an odd problem for crit heavy mechs who use DHS not for a sheer boost in cooling but to make up for the lack of room they have to mount the equivalent number of SHS thus reducing the viability of many non op builds and even bringing canon builds into question in terms of playability in a world where "double" does not equal "2".

I remember that, was that horrible terrible thing that that "new" community moderator did. How dare they correct something someone said. It is a terribly grievous insult to ever let someone know that what they said overlooked a particular piece of information and inform them of it. Why, if everyone did that all of society would be full of well informed people who all hate each other.
At worst (and I'm really stretching it) it would have been mildly humiliating to have a community moderator respond to your post with a correction.
Or are you speaking of some other normal everyday bit of communication you've blown out of proportions elsewhere on the forums?
