Belisarius,

I went out of my way to make my post so that in no way could it ever be taken personally by anyone and tried to show that no matter what anyone posts you just don't know what that person is really like and then it is merely your opinion and has no basis in reality except for the person that formed the opinion. I did however state that a way an individual debates ideas and the intellectual honesty they show while they are debating a subject can however be rated or judged. Then again rating or judging someone else's opinion in the end is just another opinion and like arses we all have those. So please try not to judge others or respond to anything that was over the top trying to sound personal in any way shape or form. I will always deliver a message to people usually personally by typing their name and letting them know I am directing a statement at them. Even if I do so obliquely like a pirate reference to a poster who named themselves Redbeard. I try to make my points clear and who they are aimed at. So chill out, your take on what was being said was actually well taken and understood eventually but you were so oblique that some of us slower folks took a little longer. Remember these are suggestions for a game that isn't even out yet, take them with a grain of salt. More than likely the Dev's scan these pages and laugh and point out that what is suggested is so impossible or so costly it will never happen. I am not the money man for PGI so I don't know what they can or cannot even look at or what their timeline is to even start looking at things outside of the main goal of a viable product that can payoff their multi year investment of labor and money.

We are merely bored trolling a forum for a game that doesn't exist. Hoping somehow our small input will make the game better in some minute way and boosting our own miniscule egos.

Belisarius, the fact that someone IMMEDIATELY before you got the joke and you didn't DOES prove a truth. But you need to adopt the previous poster's stance on my last message. It was a joke. I thought I had made it overwhelmingly obvious with the "removes from list, adds to VIP list" comment, but let me take this all one step further and pull out all the stops so the punchline isn't misinterpreted further.

It. Was. A. Joke.

Still posting on facebook, bro. Also wiiogre clearly didn't think it was entirely a joke.

Regardless, I'm out. Good luck with your numbers you two. Peace.

I got the joke, and laughed inside a little. nope that was a burp, oops my bad. Relax, a game not even out yet. Ideas, the point is throw enough ideas at a wall and perhaps some of them will stick.

I don't know, but as advanced as the Cry3 engine is with models having a skeletal and skin structure that can detect hits on a per pixel basis I don't think you need to roll the dice on anything having to do with headshots, legshots or anything like that.

The engine will know where the shot hit and the model will be damaged accordingly. Part of this equation will be the amount of damage and splash damage settings for each weapon type. The game engine does the rest.

Now on collateral effects such as overheating, internal explosions, that works differently, but weapon hits are detected real time based on where they actually hit.

Of course I probably missed entirely what you guys were getting at and if so please ignore me. Thank you very much.
