Well, just my experience anyway, but the PUG battles this morning have been A+. People using in game chat, working together...its been awesome. Seen ties, all out victories, and a few near misses saved by last minute heroics. If I fought against you or with you today, my fellow mech warriors, thank you all for the great battles.

To those people new to the game, if you use the in-game chat and work with your teammates, it will really improve your game. I highly encourage you to talk to each other. Even better if you try a common voice program and connect with others to make a premade group, but if your Pug'ing like me this morning, chat is what we got, so please use it.

And speaking of PUG battles... Since Open Beta began, I have only played PUG 100%, and only run across a handful of verified premade groups on the enemy lines, and one premade that I got sided with.

While I still think having a server selection to allow Premades to battle premades, and Pugs to battle Pugs, if so desired, would be a good thing, I have not experienced Premade groups being in the majority or "ruining" the game. Only one perspective but I just haven't seen it happen, not in the evening, afternoon or morning.

Anyway, the battles today got me pumped and I felt like sharing. Hope your all having a great time no matter what side of the battle line your on.

Ii would also like to say good job to all the PUG's. I played a very good game last night while pugging against a premade and it was a very close match. It was one of the best PUG games I've been in. The skill level is definately improving. Keep up the good work guys!

Agree 100%. I've played with some PUGs today that were very well done. I think my favorite was one group where everyone had LRM boats, except me (fast Jenner). They grouped up and waited for me to designate targets, then flooded the sky with missile trails. Worked excellently, until I got alpha'd by an Atlas I hadn't noticed. Sorry, guys, was fun working with you all.

Yeah, I noticed last night that the quality of cooperation is getting better. I was in over a dozen matches, and well over half of them were well-coordinated affairs, even without a lot of chat. Seems like pilots are learning to work with the group even without distinct communications.

Even had one match where the two groups hit on each other in coordinated efforts for a while. Attrition slowly reduced both sides down to 3-on-1 when the timer ran out. About the only game that I've seen go to timer-expired results that due to one side being nearly wiped out early and a single "survivor" running like mad to stay away from the other side.

I'm also seeing a lot more of pilots being polite - welcoming each other with the usual GLHF messages, and thanking opponents for a good battle when it actualy has been one. To me that helps immensely toward making this more of a "community".
