Anyone here hail from the days of MPBT Solaris on AOL? I used to play a bit on Gamestorm but jumped ship to AOL. It's so many years ago my memory is rather hazy but I recall running a somewhat successful mercenary unit (The Warhawks) before we joined the DCMS en-masse, I believe we ended up being the 1st Nightstalkers.

Feel free to share your memories!

After we all told Steve Case where he could put his "pay for play", we all went to GameStorm.

I can't ever recall having to pay to play, but then this was on AOL UK so it may have been slightly different?

I played Solaris on AOL and I loved it.

I had two accounts: Red Eagle for TWB, and The Shadow for GGEDON.

Anyone remember me?

I remember you, you were under my command in TWB ;P Do you still remember Col.Ender, bulldog, hellraiser? Hell I wish I had the list, we had over 120 members, their names and number, most of them probably moved.

I played it...

I wish this uses ALL of those game rules in this. Instead of using the Mechwarrior-Activision ruleset.

Hell yes, Ender! You recruited me. I remember your full real name. :) Fantastic that you saw and replied to my post. I may have one of the old rosters around, but it was just handles. Is that any good to you?

Ha just found the roster too, also just handles and real names, but not sure if i still have the roster with phone numbers. I do have 3 numbers which I am not sure if they are still valid. I am thinking of posting the handles and see if anyone responds. If enough respond, we might reform TWB. Oh hey also found the old dusty flag as well lol.

I was GenDalette<51ELH> when it was on Gamestorm then when it moved to AOL. I wish I could find more former members of my unit. ;)

That name Col Ender almost looks familiar from my days on Kali95 playing with mech2 netmech. Back then I forgot what league it was, may of been star league 3050 or 3055 but not sure. I just remember I'd been recruited into the Eridani Light Horse merc group. And I think Col Ender was the handle name of one of the leaders in that group. Since I was a nub, I got stuck with a guy with the handle Jumper who was the lance LT. and I can't remember the lance cpt's name. I remember we were also the group that was selected to beta test Mech2 Mercenaries and Mercnet, still have the old gold activision CDr with mw2:mercs on it. Though going by some things I'm looking at it may of been the grand council league. But back then I was going by Psycho, which fit my play style at the time. Never got pulled into the infamous AOL pay to play thing.

I played that game a bit as well. So cool you guys found each other again like this. Now I am daydreaming about the good old days playing AirWarrior. Sheep! Baaaaah.

Happy Hunting to all of you.
