Hello community, hello PGI ...

is it just me or is the new forum really completely unfinished? I mean this IS a website of a commercial company and THIS is the official forum, so how can it be that the most basic features not implemented yet like:
  • forum profile access (I have to "search" for my name to access my forums profile)
  • totally bugged search function. No way to sort. No way to look for connected words. No way to look in a threads title or in the whole thread... Even if you type in a threads name word by word, you have to be lucky to find it
  • no way to link up other threads
Also space between words in a threads title is horribly small, as well as the "post preview" is completely useless unless it is in a totally different style than it will be in the thread...

Cheers Usche

The forum makes no money, the game does. So I guess the priority is not the state of the forum atm, as long as the "Download Now" button works.

You can access your forum profile by clicking the "Profile" button. Should be on the top bar, second button from the right. This will dump you into a page where you can edit your profile details. If you want to view your forum profile as it appears to others, you need to click the "Forum Profile" link, located in the third bar from the top on that page.

Usche <- to get to your "old" style forum profile for the time being, simply click on your name in any forum post you've made OR at the bottom of a page... among the "X user(s) are reading this topic"... easy enough...

Search has always been a tad cumbersome but not that bad... and not sure what you mean by "linking up other threads"...

EDIT - they have now added a link to your "Forum Profile" from the new Profile link at the top of the page... yet another improvement and upgrade in the new forums/site...

That is very poor business sense. the forum is a extremely important part of customer service, and customer service makes money.

Learn to be a little more understanding... the old saying of "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all" is a good one to remember... :D

The reason why I'm whining is because I just simply can not understand, why they replaced a well working, well designed and already existing forum with ... this...

But cool they added the forums profile button at least. I mean besides the fact of display failures because of browser incompatibility , I cant see any reason to not use the already existing functions. Normally the design works independent of the functionality ... if it was coded well *hrm*

Hopefully they will find out some when , that it's sometimes nicer to get the little problems done, instead of delivering new features...

The old forums were indeed functioning fine. There really was no reason to completely bork them as they have now. I have to agree with the OP.

Or, you could just shut it, since I was replying to the OP, since he, along with many others feel the need to repeatedly regurgitate topics that have been ridden into the dirt, most of which most have been addressed by the Devs.

Jeah thats the way things work. And the more are complaining about a (inunderstandable) problem, the higher is the chance of getting through.

There has been a few improvements to the forums when they swapped to the new style, like being able to log on and stay in the same topic you were looking at. Might be a case of updating and ironing out the kinks.

Hay be nice . This is Canada we are talking about. They take life slower their. Get up at 10:00 and go to work at 1:00 take an hour lunch and by three were done. Just joking . My option is to take anything out in the forum that is less than 5 days old. Period
otherwise do you want to go through 50 pages and hear the same thing? Five days topic and bla bla gone. fresh thoughts ideas.
Its called Delete. I think that means show shoe in Canada A?
