Ok, I have finally earned enough c-bills to buy my first Mech, a Jenner JR7-D, woo-hoo! A couple questions with the MechLab...
Is there a guide or tutorial someone could link for me? I went through the guides section of the forum and didnt see anything that looked like it was an explanation of how to work in the MechLab.
I've been tinkering around a little but dont want to actually do much for fear I might irreversably screw things up.
Also, can you, say, unequip a medium laser from one of your Hard points without selling it? for example...
My JR7-D came supplied with 4 medium lasers, filling the 4 energy hardpoints... If i wanted to upgrade one of those to a Large Laser (for example... not saying im going to, cause Im still learning and have no idea if that would be a benefit on a Jenner scout) can I just swap out the lazer and have, like, a Heavy Harassing load out, then next swap back out to have a scouting load out, or do I have to sell the weapon I want to swap out everytime?
Thanks, im sorry if this makes no sense. The lack of a tutorial on these features, is somewhat frustrating.

Should be a video tutorial around here somewhere. I'll try and dig it up. Any questions in particular? Everything is kind of click and drag at this point. Armor is just a + and - button to change loadings. Upgrades sacrifice crit slots for weight savers (though the new DHS system is going to make that upgrade nearly useless).

Don't worry, we're getting a 'preview' option for mechlab here shortly. In the meantime, just try out builds and don't save (IE buy the stuff). I usually strip everything out of the stock builds anyway and just start tinkering with options.

Yup, you can already do this. Unequipping an item doesn't sell it. You have to actively choose to sell it.

Thank you, Nungunz. I played around with it a bit today, I think I've got at least a small handle on it. Thanks for the info though.
