I was just wondering if anyone has read the new novels that were just released via Kindle?

BattleTech: Operation: Ice Storm (Part One) - The Frost Advances

http://www.amazon.co...m=AY887D3O15EMW

&

BattleTech: Ghost Bear's Lament (Part One)

http://www.amazon.co...pd_rhf_se_p_t_4

I just started Ice Storm.

Haven't they been available via Battlecorps for a while?

Is this more Derp Age stuff?

Not interested in that, personally.

The blurb on Amazon for Ice Storm puts it at 3071, during the Wars of Reaving and the Jihad. The other book doesn't state a time/date for it's contents.. though given the way it's worded, I somewhat think it's referring to the Manei Domini, so it'll be Jihad as well.

The Ghost Bear book is whole sixty pages, and not a single mech enters combat. It is an interesting read if you want to gain further insight into the mind of a Clan warrior, but that is about it.

Indeed. I was disappointed. The Jade Falcon one however was really exciting. :)

I thought they were great. It doesn't have to be all Mech battles to make a good Battletech story. I enjoyed the Ghost Bear's Lament more than Ice Storm. Clan culture fascinates me, and it's a more character-driven story.

I definitely enjoyed Ice Storm more than the Ghost Bear story. It almost makes me feel bad for those Hellion since we already know hat happens to those poor ********.
