So first off, I hunted around, and found some info on the inability to see any mechs in the mech lab. I'm running a pretty good setup that is merely a year old and can run anything, yet I can't see the mechs, and when in game everything is shadowy and I have no view of mechs, and the view is only the basic terrain. Trees, mountains, ground etc. are invisible.
any help?

Unable to see anything

Delete the Shader folder in your Mechwarrior directory..
That should help..
If not uninstall and reinstall, that sometimes helps.

I tried both of these suggestions and neither worked. I guess I'll come back in a few weeks and see if it's fixed.

I had this same issue when I first loaded up the game.
The fix for me was to turn off Antialiasing.
Do that in whatever control panel you have for your card.

I just waited what seemed like forever to download and install this game. I'm maxing out almost every new game that I play on my setup yet I have the same problem as you. I can't see any of the mechs in the launcher window and things are even worse once in game. I'll try turning off AA as someone below has suggested, but if that is the fix I find it all a bit ridiculous. Why would AA destroy the entire game?
