As it stands now all weapons that can shake your 'mech have the same impulse rating of 1.0, except for the Machine Gun. Meaning an AC/2 shakes a 'mech just as much as an AC/20, which is quite unbalanced. I would suggest giving the top damage weapons the Impulse of 1.0 and scale it from there based off the amount of damage the projectile does. So we can either use 20 or 40 as the top 1.0 and based off those damages calculate the values for the other weapons.

This is a quick 30 second fix.

I don't think the current code supports it, but I'd actually like to see LRM's impulse value broken up between the missiles in the salvo. So an LRM 20 would have an impulse of .05 or .025 per missile that hits depending on the max damage number you use. Instead of the full impulse even if only 1 missile hits you out of a salvo.

To add to this, shake also needs to scale with the size and weight of the target mech. An AC/2 round shakes a Jenner. An Atlas barely feels it.

LRM 5 spam is the worst.. fix that garbage, it's worse then ac2 shake.. and that's saying something.

I could see this being added in. Although like the spreading impulse to each missile instead of the salvo, it'll require some coding.

Changing the impulse values in the xml file is literally 2 minutes of work. Probably why it won't get done for a long time.

Impulse could denfinately use an overhaul, this is a great way to do it!
