Oh and a Steiner in a Medium? Not an Assault? Quite surprising.

Might try this myself, but drop to just the one PPC, maybe an ER, as I'll have 7 extra tons for HS.

You run 2 PPCs, so you can snipe the hill dwellers, and then switch to your short range weapons for the lights that charge you. Almost never fire all your weapons at the same time so you don't need a godly amount of heat sinks.
I have base capped with the build, I have 1v5 base defended with the build buying enough time for our team to cap, it brawls, it snipes, it tanks. I have also pwned LRMboat heavy premades with it since they love hitting the hill/building.
oh and I'm in a merc unit serving House Steiner, they pay the best.

2 ppc
2 ssrm2
2 med laser
14 dbl heatsinks
std 200
endo
Not a bad build, works well as a shadow to another mech. Lights make you work for it though.

edit:The build is 14 double heat sinks in total, so you are only adding another 5 DHS aside from engine ones.

Interesting build. I was under the impression that more the 7 double heatsinks is actually worse than using single heatsinks?
I might try out this build, it's the energy version of my CN9-AH variant/build that was removed from the game. Although I much prefer ballistics.

not saying the build doesn't work,or isn't fine or whatever.just saying that your k/d or w/l is pointless to post if you are in a premade.of course it's going to be ridiculously inflated when all you're doing is steam rolling pugs.
Hell, you could roll in a commando with nothing but flamers and a small laser and still get the same K/D in a premade eventually.

However, is it even close to as efficient as a Dual Gauss?
A dual Gauss setup is putting out as much damage as your entire energy armament every four seconds. It doesn't have to switch to backups when it gets hot or enemies get close. It doesn't have to slack fire. It can just go Energizer Bunny all over you until it runs out of ammo or you run out of internals.
All you've proven is that the PPC can be shot. Not that it's balanced.
