Like in every Mechwarrior/Mechcommander game, mechs explodes when the engine is destroyed if i remember correctly. So are you guys going to implement this feature in MWO? It would be cool that destroying the torso will make the mech explode like 30m blastradius and that would have nice effect for the gameplay. And by destroying legs/cockpit would only make driver eject and mechs down.

Also what i would like to see that the machinegun would have effect on cockpit windshield when fired directly into it so the low dmg would be compensated by the factor that the enemy couldnt see very well by the effect of AP rounds hitting/piercing windshield. This was in MW2 if i remember right...

Just my first impressions that i found what would be cool.

PS.

Mechbay could be more informative, i have learned that from the hard way and wasted millions for the insufficient information...

They will not be implementing the exploding engines like MW4. That was a feature that was added in and isn't really TT cannon (from what I've been told). There was a small chance that the reactor could blow on a mech, but it wasn't every single one. They Devs have stated they will not be including this in MWO.

I would love to have something like that for machine guns. They're pretty useless as they are now. It might make them worth buying if they could be used as a distraction weapon. *shrug* It's a worthy suggestion. +1 for that.

Yes. It could be more informative. Try using this program before you put together mechs. That's what I do until they come up with something better in game.

actually machine guns are quite effective for what they are used for, crit seeking weapons. since the chance for a crit is the same for a machine gun and a guass (and everything else for that matter) the machine gun's rapid fire rate makes it best for seeking crits and taking stuff out before you actually remove said limb. I have seen this work where people melt through the armor of a hunchy and then machine gun the exposed torso till weapon is gone, then move to something else.
