Has anyone seen something like this developed by the community yet? I can only imagine it will come from Piranha soon enough, but their attention is squarely on other issues in the immediate future no doubt. I find the mech lab in-game to be lacking, and hate making purchases only to find out things won't work the way I envisioned.

I'd love to see this as well. They should let you see what the change in specs will be before buying items. I'd like to see the engine changes mostly.

Use this:
http://mwomercs.com/...echbay-program/
It's not perfect, and PGI REALLY needs to make one of their own with up-to-date stats available on the website, but it works for now. I've made some real nasty builds that worked perfectly ingame.

You can do engine math in your head (or a calculator if you are dumb like me).
Engine rating (250) divided by mech (50) times 16.2
REMEMBER 16.2 for it is the only important part.
That formula will ALWAYS tell you max speed on a mech.
A web based system would be nice, but I can just do that in Skunkworks or something, OR play around in mechlab and not save.
