Allright, like alot of older PC gamers, Mechwarrior 2 was the apex of some of the finest PC gaming ever created, everything from the music, battle layout, missions, mech design and customization and of course, the sexy and unremorseful computer AI voice telling you your about to die from your own mistake made the game untouchable even to this day. Mechwarrior Online is on the right track in my week playing the closed Beta but it was just missing the "soul" that Mechwarrior 2 had that me and so many other PC gamesr loved about it.

Seeings how people are still talking/wishing/pleading about PGI adding hopefully Carole's voice during development, I decided to take matter into my own hands just to show other mechwarriors and maybe even PGI how freaking awesome MWO could become. Using one om my recent online battles, I added some of Carole Ruggiers sexy AI voice from MW2 and my favorite background music track, Iron Piston from composer Jeehun Hwang and added them give MWO what it really needs, a soul.

I tried to be as accurate when possible using what sound files I had available from MW2 to implant during the battle, so please don't tear me apart if they arn't all pefectely "intuned" with whats atually occuring in game, I simply wanted to show how much more epic and indepth MWO could be if PGI went the extra mile and incorporated Carole's awesome voice and some good quality soundtrack during our battles, so I added when I could with what was happening in game and also sorta adding sound files where I felt it would just sound "cool"

So pleeeeease Piranha Games, get these people on your development team!!

Enjoy! *be sure to use 480p/720p for better sound quality*

This is phenomenal. I would seriously pay $10 to have that voice in my game.

INCOMING MESSAGE.

If you notice when that comes up, I correlated it when I get an actual ingame message from someone on my team. I figured in the heat of online battle, why not? :)

No "powering up" voice was the first thing I noticed when playing MWO.

Looks great, though I think "Critical target inspected" should just be "Target inspected." Message Incoming was also rather annoying. I hope we get some good voice work like that though in MWO, and I would love some incoming missile klaxons.

Yeah, I didn't have just "target inspected" or I woulda used that, MW2 sound bites are hard to extract from the game and find. Incoming message I was using it with incoming game messages from teammates for the heck of it. Again, this is vid is just for fun and example purpose

I'm not adamant that we have any particular person, as long as she's similar and as long as we get a voice-actor in the long run.

Nice video, the sound engineers should be able to integrate it into the game. If they do do it they wil most likely just use anyone on hand have them speak into microphone and tweak the vocal tone of the sound wave file to match Carols. Not sure what kind of budget they're on but probably cheaper for them to do it that way, unless Carol offers to do it for free. Sound editors that come to mind like Wave for windows wich was used to tweak the sounds/voices of characters in Doom II when it was developed. Surely they have much more sophisticated Apps at they're disposal now to do this process much quicker and easier.

Very nice!

And I am encouraged by the fact that there is now a Dialogue volume slider in the options menu.

******* Betty is already there! They just haven't finished recording the voiceovers yet. For the curious, you can see all the BB calls in the game files.
