Hello! Fight Club are looking for a few good vict... I mean... pilots!

Who We Are
Originally established in 2003 on the MMOFPS Planetside (EU Werner, holla!), Fight Club is a group of people who enjoy playing team-based games together but don't take themselves too seriously. Don't get me wrong we like to succeed, but we have no problems laughing off defeats or occasionally monkeying around if that's likely to provide us with the most fun! We generally number mature members who have both jobs and families, so we demand no special commitment or anything like that. Of course, we do try and arrange to play MWO at around the same time when we can, but we're not going to panic if people are missing.

What We Offer
We're here to enjoy playing the game and for us that means getting together on our private TeamSpeak server and getting into a group, then running around and shooting things in a sort-of co-ordinated way. We don't care about Kill/Death ratios. We don't care if you're not the best player in the game. We don't care whether you're a Founder or a Free player. We don't split people up into ranks, or roleplay, or anything like that. We don't even care if you accidentally shoot a teammate in the back whilst giggling (Fire a warning shot across her nose. Careful you idiot I said across her nose not UP IT!), as long as you don't do it too much anyway! We're not here to be the best of the best, but we like to think we do a pretty good job while keeping the fun factor, well, fun.

Oh, and we also have members playing Planetside 2, World of Tanks, EVE Online, and a few other small MMO games, who you're welcome to join if you happen to play those games too!

Who We're Looking For
YOU! Possibly, if you think you fulfill the following:

• 18+ - We've experimented with younger members before and it just doesn't work for us.
  
• Like to play the game in a team.
  
• Don't mind using TeamSpeak to help co-ordinate.
  
• Not offended by bad language and stupid jokes.
  
• Don't take yourself too seriously.
  
• Can usually manage to game in the evenings (GMT/CET) just because it's the best time to catch the rest of us on.
  
• See yourself as a casual player who likes to team up when they play.
  
• Any type of mech you like to pilot is fine, we usually all run in whatever we feel like driving at the time.

Note: On our registration page, the answer to the question "What is the name of this outfit?" is "Fight Club". Someone very kindly pointed out that if you haven't played Planetside you might not know that their name for clans/guilds/etc was Outfit, and people who speak English as a second language might find it confusing. This will probably be changed at some point!

Small bump and update to the original post. We now have an "official" Lance night of Wednesdays where as many of us as possible try to get on at the same time, though again as mentioned it's not a problem if someone can't for whatever reason.

Small update to the original post to deal with an issue that MadPanda kindly discovered. We have a question on our registration page to discourage bots, but unfortunately didn't realise that "Outfit" is an uncommon name for a guild/clan and therefore the question "What is the name of this outfit?" could be confusing to people who speak English as a second language. Thanks MadPanda!

Well we've gathered our first smoking corpse... Oops did I say that out loud, I mean fellow Mech pilot! And lo, did Sokoprok come down from on high bearing the mighty Pew of the Centurion and the Plushie of the Monkey, and he pronounced it good.

Still looking for a few more EU-based people to jump onto TS with us and talk rubbish while blowing enemy mechs away! Act now and received your free, limited-edition*, Facial Extreme Tenz Doll, complete with moveable shotguns and bits of Atlas cockpit shrapnel embedded in the armour!

It's not my fault they only have 18 armour... and that they are really easy to hit with a pair of shotguns

What are your play times and generally how many members do you have that are fairly active? thanks

Well we usually have people active and playing in the evenings GMT, so between 7-10pm you'll often find a few playing. I'd say active we have around 8-10 (not all usually on at the same time except when we try to get together on a wednesday night) with some churn between MWO and the recently-released Planetside 2. Certainly nowhere near the size of some of the larger corps out there, but we kinda like it that way. We'd rather grow slowly while integrating new people into the team than expand exponentially and not have that cohesion.

And we're back! Currently three of us have picked up MWO again and are busy having our faces stomped into the mud on whole new maps we've never played before!

So if you like lying down a lot and spending all night in spectator mode, come join us for giggles and the occasional kill. Have a laugh with a few friends and play the game in a casual, fun way!

Five of the original crew is now back playing and shooting stuff while giggling. We've started dabbling in CW but aren't particularly serious about it right now, mostly because a couple of the guys don't have enough decent mechs for their dropship yet! We can always use some more meatshields to stand in front of the rest of us though, so feel free to pop along to the site and say hi if you're interested.
