I'm getting the following error on my Son's brand new computer I got him for Christmas
Fatal Error
Present returned status DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED this can happen for a number of reasons:
The underlying hardware is unstable (check voltages etc)
The display driver encountered a bad state (ensure drivers are up to date with latest fixes)
The game issued a bad D3D command causing the driver to enter a bad state (log an issue stating the exact steps that resulted in this error occurring)
For more information please refer to the games knowledge base
Reason = D3D Device Hung
Does anyone know what could be causing this?
Anyone else have experience with this?

Brand new could mean anything. Please post the system specs of your son's computer. Without that, it's almost impossible to find the culprit.
Also, please describe when exactly this error is happening.

The error occurs sometime after the game starts, sometimes 5 minutes, sometimes 30 minutes. It has occurred both in battle and in the mech bay.

It can be due to either a defective component, components running at a higher speed/setting, making them unstable. And not just PSU or voltage settings but also speed/performance settings.
- For the Power Settings, set to best performance. This will help prevent the system speeds going up/down, then go from there.
- Also, if playing in full screen, switch to full window mode. Alt tabbing in full screen mode causes the system to generate new graphics for game/desktop.
- Generate a dxdiag file, then post the first part of it.

We are looking at a Notebook and an IGPU. This alone can cause a wide range of issues. Afaik, integrated GPUs are not officially supported.
