I'm talking about the trench or tunnel at the upper base. Doesn't make any sense for it to be there looking at the map and it's bugged too, with peeps getting stuck in the grates. Put it back the way it was or get rid of it entirely.

This is the first I've heard of this, honestly. Granted, I've been avoiding the forums like the plague of late...

Yeah! Your demanding tone will surely convince them that you're right!

I think the trench is funny, it's great when someone backs up into it and you get to cap with no resistance... :P

How dare we have a more dynamic route in the high side base!

The map devs are bad, and they should feel bad!

Put a lid on it and and add an entrance/exit along the river but put a cover on it at the least..

I will always love the trech, because I will always fondly remember the time a pair of scouts jumped down there to escape and continue to harass, so I hopped down in my Atlas too, and obliterated them both in a volley of laser fire. It warms my heart every time I think of it.

the other map version had horrible rubber-banding in the structures at the top of the ramp

I think they should add a second trench.

I would be much in favor of a moat. With dinosaurs.

The only problem I have with the trench is the side with the scaffolding-looking part, since I got stuck on that. Other than that, I love the trench. I think it's a huge improvement over the non-trench version of the map.

The trench/tunnel greatly improved the gameplay of this map for the airport defenders. Before the opposing side would always come from the left, and usually win by storming the ramp. For whatever reason, now you have an equal chance of facing em from the right. The tunnel provides some neat emergent gameplay too. Sometimes the attackers fall into it while trying to cap, delaying them for a while if they don't have jj. You can also drop into the trench as a defender if you're getting swarmed. Had a streak cat stupidly follow me down into the tunnel where he couldn't use his jjs and I could take his cockpit out close range.

I have no problem with the trench but the lil grate bridges need to be fixed. I killed a mech that was stuck there tonight and got stuck myself for a min to, def a bug there .

The only thing I have against the trench is that it is difficult to get onto the bridge.
Only recently have I figured out how to get there without dropping down, which I did not like doing.
I feel that the trench is unintuitive, as it is difficult to navigate, especially for those who are new.

Side note: The bridges? Over the trench? No way they would support an Atlas.

Funny, earlier today I jumped down there to escape lrm fire. My base was being raided, and a cent a awesome and 2 hunchbacks jumped down after me. The cent and both hunchbacks got owned.(edited, my fourth kill was topside) I ran from the awesome to try to save my base from being capped, but was too late. The awesome would have got owned too, if I would have fought him.

Anyone guess what mech build I use?
Hint everyone hates it.

On topic. I like the trench and I hope it stays, watch your feet and get better at maneuvering.

Actually I much prefer it this way. I like running a 32KPH Atlas with AMS and before when it was the ramp the mech could not get past the first overhead.

I actually love jump jetting up from the bottom of the trench with 2 x SSRM2 in my Jenner. Gotta time it right or you are a sitting duck!
