I have had the honor of talking to some really cool women players on Team Speak in the past few days and was wondering just how many women players are around on the forums?

ok... i see which of you here dont ever have a chance to be with a woman lol. Calm down guys... im not tying to pick up women lol. Lets be a bit more mature here. It was an honest question as like I said, I have talked to a few really cool female gamers already on Team Speak and was just trying to get our female gamer community to be a bit more vocal here.

not here to meet women but seeing as how our male gamer base talks about the subject, I can understand why none of them decide to talk much on the forums.

When people "joke" on the internet that there are no women, it is in fact simply very unwelcoming to the women who are out there. I do not think we should be perpetuating an environment that is exclusionary.

well i can see where these guys are coming from you quite often see sad people trying to get womens attention via a game.

but the simple truth is most of them are big girls ( as in big boys, not fat ) and can handle themselves without help from us

very true. Those same women while few, can probably wipe a game with most guys lol. I know, my wife games with me and she talks more smack than I do while gaming with our unit lol.

There's also plenty of women gamers that don't use voice chat and keep their gender to themselves due to having dealt with immature male gamers in their past.

while that would be a really cool episode, no its not in any way that at all. This was really meant as an honest mature thread meant to get our female gamers more active on the forums.

Anyway, it just made me chuckle a little giving you a hard time. But in all seriousness, I don't think their gender is what they want to be singled out as, either in harassment or in praise. I think they just want to be seen as gamers and left alone to do the same things everyone else does.

But I give you an A+ for agreeing that would be a cool episode.

Same here. Mine prefers more complex metagaming, spying and large scale warfare.

She's got...Multiple capital ships in Eve, had multiple Titans for awhile and plays ARMA2 with the Shacktac crew. I'm too much of a casual gamer and tend to have gaming ADHD so I tend to jump between games a bit.

Will probably go back to Eve a bit in december to check out the new Destroyers.
