I recently purchases the HBK-4H and I noticed that it had plenty of heat sinks but there were none put in the legs. That's four open slots for heat sinks that would cool faster in water and be safer, not utilized. Is this a common trend among mechs from the store?

Not typically. Most mechs come with their heat-sinks in the legs.

However, water effects are not in the game, yet. So even though in TT leg-heat-sinks act as DHS when submerged, that is not currently the case in MW:O. We are all looking forward to when it is in the game - because it makes River City and Forest Colony a lot more dynamic.

Last time I did so, it helped a lot. Unless they rolled it back in some patch, the submerging should still work.

It is not in the game yet? Are you sure?

On caustic, check your idle heat level (My Centurion AL: 7%). Then move into to water/acid/fluid thingy. Idle heat level drops for me (My Centurion AL: 5%).

Or did I miss something and this happens due to something else?

It's free to move them, and from my experience it is common for the heatsinks to be in the torsos. I usually pilot lights and mediums, so there is lots of free space. I think that as torso space gets taken up by ammo and weapons, then things get shifted to the legs.

Water Heat-Dissipation is in?! I'll have to test that next time I get a chance.
