I saw many threads about complain about Atlas/Awsome get worse heat management with 1.4HS and request for the real DHS at 2.0 value. But isn't that make light mechs that equip only 10 engine heatsinks become too powerful ? We might see Jenner with large pulse if DHS is 2.0 in value.

The concept of Endosteel are FF amor very obvious, crit spaces for tonnage, already made light mech so strong strong already. Collision (my way to kill Jenner as Dragon user) has been removed and it won't comeback in near future (nothing mentioned about it in patch note). And from tomorrow, all those Jenners are gonna be equiped with DHS which make them even stronger.

I should make one 6*ssrm2 cat right now lol.

No. It will make very very little effect. Its not worth to use current DHS because even most light mechs will rpeferto use XL engines and endo steel to save weight and can become very limited critical slot wise. In a way that light mechs might end up with a bit more of sinking, but most heavies and assaults will keep SHS .

Eh. I think DHS will make the JR7-F run heat neutral with 6xSL, possibly with 6xSPL.

That's about it though. Every Jenner needs its 300XL Engine, so there's not all that much left in its 35 ton frame for variation.

The Jenner won't become noticably more borked than it is right now though. Without knock-down and with mediocre netcode the Jenner is simply the king of the battlefield, DHS won't improve them noticably.

Dude thats the point, all they did by reducing double heatsinks is break the game, as in completly shattered.

You are saying oh no a jenner with a large **** laser? How about the completly 100% canon stock design puma, its a 35 ton mech with 2 ER PPC's, without true double heatsinks(that is was designed around) that mech will be horribly broken.

I guess... Some people... Maybe?

If you're strapped for tonnage but have plenty of crits they're good... But if you're strapped for tonnage with plenty of crits, might as well go Endo instead. Then Ferro.

Eh.

I use DHS in my Atlas AS7D build since its giving me better tonnage and heat efficiency and also enables me to run around with a standart engine 300 or what i currently use: XL360 enabling me to run around with AMS, 1 large + 3 med lasers my beloved AC2/Gauss combo with alot of ammo (for cooling down while still pummelling the enemy) at 58KPH and 1,54 heat efficiency and i dont really miss the missiles neither the streaks nor the lrms and in 3/4 of my matches im the one who dealt the most damage in my team or both teams and normally get around 2 kills per match.
I also calculated whats better DHS or Ferro/endo and the DHS came out superior with 12 slots used in my build contrary to 14 with endo/ferro and the left over spaces in the legs and head can be filled with other stuff.

the thing is.. a few specific mechs wil be better with DHS because DHS cannot use the legs and head criticals. So if your mech do not carry ammo... DHS effectively also cost those 5 slots becoming useless.

DHS will be used by mechs that used no extra HS or 1-2 extra heat sinks. Mechs that loaded 20 extra heat sinks (for 30 totals, will continue with SHS).

DHS shoudl replace all SHS , as was in BT cannon, but the current implementation make thme VERY VERY VERY VERY limited in usage.
