He mentions a "long-standing heat related bug" - I wonder if the patch will address that, and what it really means. I'd like to see energy weapons viable again, there was nothing quite like a Warhammer marching along with it's twin PPCs.

Basically the heat generated from firing lasers with less than a second burn time (pulse lasers and small lasers) was actually LESS than it was supposed to be. The fix is going to increase the heat these put out.
Oh energy weapons are viable. Small and Medium Lasers are doing fiiiiiiiine.
ERPPCs, PPCs, and ER Large are on the Protected species lists, and the population of Large Pulse Lasers is about to get a kick in the shorts.
Large lasers are the most viable of the Large bunch, and therefore the most used.
