Just a quick question about the TAG laser. I know it enhances the targeting of LRMs, but does it also affect Streak SRMs as well? And how about regular, unguided SRMs?

Which missiles does TAG affect?

Currently, only LRM's but SRM's are planned. Streaks nobody knows yet.

It may just be me but it appears that SRM's do seem to have a slightly tighter grouping if tag is applied when you fire at the target.

TAG affects lock-in time for Streaks, if only ever so slightly.
Tested by COM3-A running TAG + SSRM in the same arm aswell as COM-1B with TAG in arm and SSRM in torso (plus a friend in Streakpult now and then).
LRMs aswell, but that has been answered already.

I don't run streaks ever, but I do run tag a lot, and I do bring SRM 4 6's to a lot of fights.
Sometimes tag seems to have zero effect on SRM's, They spread out and do their normal thing.
But then sometimes a I'll fire them at a tagged target and see them converge at the target. It seems like the target has to have had a continuous tag for over 12-15 seconds before it kicks in, and it doesn't always happen.
If the Dev's know the mechanic for this, please let us know, on the other hand if they are doing something they shouldn't. Well we should know that as well. So we can do some advanced testing.

until the current "no knockdown" problem started, i ran almost exclusively srms and tag. the only time tag appeared to coincide with greater chance of srm impact was when i was fairly close and holding the tag on my target for lrm teammates... in other words, the improved impacts could also be explained by the concentrated focus as much as the tag. as far as i can tell, there is no improvement otherwise (as evidenced when a teammate has someone tagged) to imply that srm uses tag at this time.

Not normal SRMs afaik... but it's great for streaks.
The tag lets you lock faster and makes your lock last longer when out of LOS. This lets you hold or quickly reestablish locks on the jenners ducking behind hills.
