I like the cut of your jib - what you stand for and who you stand by. I would very much be interested in joining up with you all. If someone could maybe PM me details on how to get further involved that would be superb!
As far as history on me goes: I first played some tabletop Battletech when I was very little because of my brother and ended up reading all the Stackpole fiction for the same reason. Mechwarrior 2 and 4 were huge in my life at various points. MWO is a game that I have been waiting for my whole life and it hasn't disappointed in the slightest. Let's blow some stuff up together!

If any new player is looking to learn the fundamentals of playing as a team with a bunch of good and really nice pilots, this is the place to be. The organization is spot on and the strong leadership works hard to provide a fun, mature environment - for men and women. At any time, you will find many players from North America, Europe, and Australia / New Zealand - often filling 5-15 drop rooms at once! It's easy to find a group of 5-10 people you enjoy playing with regularly. Once you drop with this team, you'll never want to PUG again.
For the more competitive players, looking for a challenge, HHoD's top players are top-notch and can hold their own with the best of what's out there. The skills, communication, and tactics you will learn from the team will carry you with whoever you end up playing with in the future (cough.. ). HHoD will help you become a better mech pilot and you'll have a blast meeting some of the nicest people out there in MWO.
You can't go wrong with meeting up on the Davion Teamspeak3 server and getting to know them.

Pop into the TS server, even if you are not yet ready to 'commit' to a unit, and hang out with us for a day or two! There are always groups dropping (pretty much 24/7 at this point), and we would be happy to welcome you to a team.
Move fast, shoot straight, stay alive!

Swing on by the Teamspeak server and say hi.
I'm sure you'll find us a most agreeable bunch, we have fun and kick *** with people on 24/7.
You'll find there's always someone who willing to drop and there's always someone available to answer your questions if you have them.

Just ran a few with 4th Battalion (those were called 'Troops' where I come from). Seems like a fine bunch. Lookin forward to more this evening.

These guys have been perfect for what I wanted. We have a paramilitary style ranking system and that's as close as it gets to any role play. We dont march in formation around our computer rooms or salute the monitor, but we do take it seriously enough that we'll tell you to hush if you're yapping during a match Overall, it's been great.
If that's what you're after, check them out. If you live in your basement and desperately more than anything want to salute your monitor and feel like you belong to something important, I suggest joining a gym and a different MWO group.

Since when did we stop saluting our monitors? I guess I am out of the loop. At least no one can see me fail...
Back on topic ;-) 3rd Battalion 1st Company is looking to fill some slots with some fresh blood, Lance Leader positions available for those that deserve them!
