I like the idea of ejecting manually. One that did most damage should get kill.

This. Or possibly the last person to hit you gets the kill if you manually eject. Then no one could complain that they were not getting the c-bill bonuses and exp for the kill.

A eject button would be nice but only if it correctly implemented. So eject after taking 65% of damage, after 7 minutes or after dealing 175 dmg to the enemy. And i think there should be some bonus xp for surviving the match (maybe 25xp?) cause don´t eject means getting killed and getting killed means yeah exactly you´re dead.

This would be a nice option in this game and a new part of gameplay named: watch your ***.

Currently ejecting from your mech causes the game to bug resulting in you being dead but the game not ending. This bug needs to be addressed before anything else is considered.

Nobody dies in this game. If your 'Mech is destroyed, you are assumed to eject, land safely, run around avoiding the enemy, get picked up by friendly rescue forces and returned to your 'Mech hangar.

You don't die for the same reason you don't lose your 'Mech when it's destroyed -- the game would be a hell of a lot less fun.

Ejecting is something that need's to be in the game. It seems like such a small thing, but its such a big part of the lore aswell. I'm going to make a video suggestion about this and a few other things.

I think there should be an option to manually eject or auto eject (due imminent chance of you 'mech exploding, ammo explosion, etc. you get the idea).

There should be an visible animation of the cockpit cracking open, the ejection chair rocketing away, and the decent of the 'mechwarrior back down to earth. There should be chance you will not be able to land safely to the ground due to: faulty system and being caught in the explosion, being shot by another 'mech in midair, hitting terrain above your 'mech (dubbed the "El Splatto"), etc.

I think the 'mechwarrior should also have a human sized avatar and have to run back to safety/survive to gain any reward. If he's killed before they reaches a safe place or the game ends then he gets a penalty, if he lives then all the better.

I think despite it all it's a nice piece of realism that would add depth to the game.

No more on this topic lately?

I still think it's a great idea. A 'mechwarrior who manually eject should receive an additional penalty unless their 'mech has received critical damage. I don't think their should be Hardcore rules in that if you die you have to reroll...but that could be an interesting layer of realism.

I think 'mechwarriors who eject in a cave or under a bridge go KERSPLAT and die, this goes for similar low hanging structures. My understanding is the head/canopy cracks open and then the 'mechwarrior rockets straight up. 'Mechwarrior can also be targeted and attacked by other 'mechs (even friendlies) and killed on the battlefield. Also given map hazards if they land in lava they get burned up, certain atmosphere conditions may also kill a 'mechwarrior slowly and they have to make it to safety or die within a certain time.

Just some more ideas.

Fail-safes would prevent ejection in caves or under bridges. Mechwarriors running around on foot is pointless, as pilot death doesn't happen in the game. The original idea was for the parachute-rigged ejection seat to drift off and descend out-of-bounds.

As repair and rearm are no longer in the game, ejection serves no purpose beyond eye candy, so nobody would toggle it anyway, even if it were available.
