I am running:
nVidia GTX 560 (310.33)
Intel i5-2500k
Windows 8 Pro

I have tried all the settings that seem to count and most of the textures are missing when I launch a mission.

A simpler example is when launching the Mechlab, the walls are yellow with disconnecting blue text grafitti.

I have runn full screen, windowed, max settings, min settings. No difference.

Since a search did not show up any recent posts about this, is it something old and obvious I am missing?

Any help, game is not playable like this.

your pc is building the shaders, give it a few minutes to compile and it should sort itself out.

Please make sure you are not running any custom video settings in your Graphics Management software.

Try changing your settings to Default and see how it performs.

Cheers.

Also, Windows 8 is not currently supported.

Had the same problem when I set my video card to override application settings. Reverted those back and no problem.

Thanks, How long is a few minutes? Over an hour? I have launched several matches and has not changed.

Thanks, does that mean Windows 8 does not work, or that they won't answer Windows 8 problems?

it should have been a few minutes like 5 at most. I'm guessing there's an issue with building the shaders. Have you updated to the latest directx?

You got to make sure you got the right dx installed, what version do you have atm?
I had bad problems with the mechbay up until recently (it stopped 2 patches ago)with similar problems as you described....parts of the mechs were multicolored and i had previous internet browsing randomly scattered about the screen, was pretty annoying.
Sent in a support ticket with attached screenshot but never got an answer back so i got no idea what caused it.

I had this on my laptop.

After several attempts, I figured my laptop was just not meant to run MWO. I think it is a Core 2 Duo CPU.

It works just fine, even better than 7 and XP. However after installation you might need to manually download and install DirectX 9c from Microsoft's website.
