I know its not canon and only clan DHS take up 2 slots, but given the fact that we are giving up 3 crit slots for >50% benefit in heat reduction why not?

Because people would just put more DHS in and then we have the same problem again. The point of DHS is that space becomes the limiting factor.

Except that TT heatsinks gave 2x heat reduction for 3 crit slots. That equals a ,66 ratio for heat to crit slot ratio. In other words for every crit slot used you get .66 heat reduction. For standard HS its a 1:1 ratio.

With the new DHS you get .467 ratio.

With what i am proposing you would be up to .7 which is a bit higher than original TT values but also preserves the benefit of them.

Lets at least see how the system works tomorrow before preemptively complaining about it.

I am not demanding a change immediately just offering a suggestion for the future given the proposed changes and based on the math

Go read the math threads - we already KNOW how it will perform....

Pretty much. Just like with FF armor, I already knew how worthless it was before it came into the game. I will simply continue to not use expensive garbage until they are fixed (hopefully soon).

So what happens when clan tech arrives? They have double heat sinks that use only one crit?
