I just noticed that not only does the awesome 9m come with a xl 320 engine but it is able to carry a much larger engine than the other awesome mechs. The max size of the other awesomes is 290. So has anyone tried it yet? I would save up for it as my third AWS just for the added engine size and probably transfer the xl to a cicada or sell it. Is 320 the max engine size on that mech? What is the max speed. I want to turn it into a brawler with medium lasers and SRM6.

That's because the rule that limits engine size for the Awesome is 1.2x the engine that comes standard in the mech.
If it starts with a larger engine, the max engine size is larger.
If it starts with a larger engine, the max engine size is larger.
