Hey,

i would like to ask if getting hit by AC2 makes your cockpit shake making it hard to aim ? if so would having two of these on chain fire make it impossible for a missile mech to get a lock, preventing him from shooting ?

Yes is will shake the cockpit, maybe on messing with the lock of a missile boat it will make it harder to track you but it’s not THAT much harder on the other hand with the ROF increases and the extreme range of the AC2 they are useful, kind of like a pourmans Gauss with more ammo per ton. Give it a run or two and see if they match you’re play style or not.

They're good for pelting on damaged or unarmoured parts of a 'mech from a safe distance. Rate of fire makes for consistent damage output but I wouldn't take them to a brawl without backup from allies and/or bigger weapons.

The "rattle" of an AC/2 impacting the cockpit will visually disrupt yuor opponent's aim, but it will not actually rattle their guns; their bullets will still be very accurate and fire in the same exact position when you're being pummeled by AC/2, it's just the HUD that bounces around.

However, if you move - even slightly - while hitting something at long rage with your AC/2 they will have a very hard time returning the favor.

You would be surprised how fast a LRM boat backs up when hit wit 2/3 AC2's from long distance.

Or a gauss to the face.
